Accessibility Statement
We are committed to improving digital accessibility for people with disabilities, assistive technology users, and colorblind individuals. This statement describes our current practices; it is not a third-party accessibility certification.
Key Accessibility Features
- Keyboard Navigability: Core editor actions—including entering data, choosing chart types and palettes, opening dialogs, and exporting files—support standard keyboard controls such as Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, arrow keys, and Escape.
- Nonvisual Data Table & Summary: Every generated chart includes a linked, accessible data table and automated statistical text summary for screen reader users (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver).
- Semantic SVG Markup: The SVG chart output contains linked
<title>and<desc>elements witharia-labelledbyassociations. A separate screen-reader summary provides the detailed values without creating hundreds of tab stops. - Contrast Compliance & Palettes: We provide colorblind-safe palettes (Artisan Earth, Okabe-Ito, IBM Carbon) and run real-time contrast checks against WCAG 2.2 AA 3:1 graphical standards.
- Reduced Motion Support: The application honors the
prefers-reduced-motion: reducemedia query, eliminating unnecessary animations. - Visible Focus Indicators: High-contrast focus rings are present across all interactive controls.
- Skip to Main Content: A skip link is provided at the very top of the DOM for efficient keyboard traversal.
Feedback & Continuous Improvement
We test core flows with automated tooling (Axe Core and Playwright), keyboard checks, and ongoing assistive-technology review. If you encounter any accessibility barriers, please let us know via our Contact page.
