A 100% stacked chart normalizes each category total to 100%. It highlights relative shares rather than differences in overall volume. Use a standard stacked chart when absolute totals also matter.

Equal-length bars let you compare survey response proportions even when sample sizes differ. Show the sample sizes separately so readers do not mistake equal percentages for equal counts. Use nonnegative values and check categories whose total is zero.
